Implementasi Long-Range RFID dan Vehicle Loop Detector untuk Otomatisasi Akses Kendaraan dan Pengendalian Gerbang Pos Jaga Poltekad

Abstract

The vehicle access control system at the Poltekad Guard Post is still dominated by manual checks, which can potentially create queues, and reduce the effectiveness of security oversight. This research aims to implement a system for automated vehicle access based on Long Range Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)with ESP32 as the main controller integrated withVehicle Loop Detector (VLD), sensor infrared beam, limit switch, motor AC barrier gate, as well as a web-based monitoring system. The research method used is an experimental method that includes hardware and software design, system integration, and performance testing of each subsystem and the system as a whole. The results show that the system is able to identify vehicles automatically with a fast and stable response. Long Range RFID provides good reading performance at various distances and tag orientations according to the test scenario, while the integrationVehicle Loop Detector, infrared beam, And limit switchimproving the safety and reliability of automatic gate operations. Thus, the developed system can improve the efficiency, speed, and security of vehicle access control at the Poltekad Guard Post compared to conventional methods.
